Joanne Froggatt named ambassador for Combat Stress

20 02 2014

Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt has been announced as ambassador for Combat Stress, and is to work with the veterans' mental health charity to raise awareness of its work delivering specialist care to ex Service men and women across the UK.

Froggatt, who visited the charity while researching her role of a soldier suffering from post traumatic stress disorder in the film In Our Name, said 'Speaking to veterans helped by the charity gave me an insight into the world in which those suffering from trauma live. With the support of Combat Stress they can once again live a fulfilling life with their families'.
